When I came back to my room from having drinks with friends, I decided to take a shower before going to bed. Although I thought I was washing my hair with shampoo, it turned it to be another chemical that shall remain unnamed. To make a long story short, when I woke up the next morning, half of the hair on my head had fallen off and I had a gigantic bald spot. My eyebrows were also gone.
My reaction was sort of like this (minus the breaking of glass, prom crown and lunatic fisherman):
After moping around wondering what to do for a day, I finally just buzzed it all off. I've never had a shaved head before, and I can't say that I'm a big fan. But this too shall pass: hair grows back, and I'm thankful that it wasn't a worse accident.
Here is a photo:
If you're traumatized by this, rest assured that:
1) I've decided to wear a hat for the next month or so.
2) Many of you won't even see me before it's back to normal
3) At least it's not from cancer treatment. And I'm not a neo-Nazi.
Have a good week, everyone.
Edit: My mom just e-mailed me this photo from the last time I was bald.

very nice, Mr. Beckham.
Brett, this too shall pass. And I always ask myself, what is it I'm supposed to learn from this situation? :) By the way, you were a sweet baby! Hope your parents are doing well. Tell them and Katie hello from me, would you? :)
I definitely will, thank you Mrs. Draper! "This too shall pass" is one of my favorite quotes because it does such a good job of putting things in perspective.
